Katherine is a craftsperson, designer, and educator who uses design and woodworking to explore connection with others, the natural world, creativity, and to herself. The unspoken language of creation allows her to embrace and exist within a vulnerability that is often elusive or completely lacking within spoken language. With degrees in Biology, Ecology, and Mechanical Engineering, she has honed her woodworking skills through intensive training and apprenticeships. Katherine's diverse career spans over 35 jobs. Embracing her neurodivergence, she has returned to craft, focusing on its physicality. Currently, she co-operates Highland Woodshop, teaching and mentoring woodworkers. Katherine

 also co-founded Playing Possum Collective. She enjoys exploring new techniques like marquetry and pyrography, integrating her knowledge of ecological processes into her designs.
