I’m a functional potter. I create usable art—pieces to enjoy in day-to-day life but, hopefully, too nice to hide in a cupboard.
I had been a graphic designer for 25+ years, still do some web design work and am grateful for ‘being paid for playing with crayons.’
My love for bold colors translates well to working with clay; my favorite part is glazing. I see clay as a canvas. All of my glazes are hand-brushed onto the bisque-fired pieces.
I enjoy working with artist colleagues from many other fields: I’m a member of the TEAL Artist Cooperative and the Art in the Valley gallery in Corvallis.
My studio northwest Corvallis is open to visitors by appointment.
