Diana Ryan
Ceramics F

Diana Ryan is a working ceramic artist and community educator based in Corvallis, Oregon. She fell in love with clay in 2002 while studying at the University of Oregon, where long hours in the ceramics studio turned into years of exploration. She remained an additional year to deepen her practice—mixing her own glazes, firing kilns, and refining her artistic voice.

Since 2007, Diana has shared her passion for art throughout the Corvallis community, teaching at the Corvallis Arts Center, the OSU Craft Center, and within the Corvallis School District. In 2018, she opened Diana Rose Studio, a neighborhood creative space where she produces her own work and offers community classes and workshops designed to make ceramics accessible and welcoming.

Beyond the studio, Diana actively brings art into the broader community by supporting public mural projects, collaborating with local artists, and exhibiting her mixed media and ceramic work in galleries and craft shows. She is a founding artist of the South Town Art Walk and has served as its organizer since 2012, helping build it into a vibrant, artist-led annual event.

Diana will be sharing a new body of whimsical, functional ceramic work at the Northside Open Studio Tour, including a special collection of tea accessories inspired by the children’s book The Girl Whose Garden Comes Alive by Juliet Howard, Diana’s childhood friend, herbalist, and Portland-based author. Juliet and Diana will also offer botanical products and handmade crafts at the event.
